Its been so Long!!!!

So i realized that I havent updated my blog in months and so much has happened since then! Xander learned to roll over and now he just learned to roll from his back to his front and scoots in a circle... hes going to be crawling before we know it!

Plus he is just huge, so dang cute, but huge! Xan is now over 19 lbs and 27 1/2 inches long! He is literally off the growth charts!

He just makes our lives so wonderful, there is nothing like the love of a little baby to make your heart swell.

Well as for Skyler and I we both graduated this year, he is working to get the experience he needs to be able to apply for yet more school!

here are a few more pictures from the last week, we cant believe he will be two weeks old tomorrow! He is changing so fast! He is just a sweet heart who loves to eat and snuggle!

Okay sorry to keep everyone waiting! I just totally forgot with this new schedule! All of these photos were taken yesterday when he was 3 days old except for the last one which was taken in the NICU just a few hours after he was born.

So yep here is our little peanut, born at 11:10 am on June 13, 2011 weighing 8lbs 6 oz, and 21 inches long.

Though he wont be a little peanut for long! Just had a doctors check-up today, and he has gained 8oz's since leaving the NICU (he left at 8lbs 3oz)! So a whole half a pound in 2 days! He is just a riot and likes to sing himself to sleep.

Well here is baby arnold(havent decided on a name yet!) He was born on his due date, June 13, 2011 at 11:10. He is 8 lbs 6 oz and 20.5 inches long. Not much hair,but a very happy and good baby, doesnt cry at all really, at this point he just loves to eat and sleep and be cuddled!

I will update more tomorrow! We are just going to sleep for now!

Finally had a moment

Okay, now that graduation, moving, unpacking, and just getting settled into a new area is near completion i finally have a chance to post! Everything is great here, still just trying to decide where to hang pictures and the like, and enjoying the warmer weather that the Boise area has to offer (it snowed in Rigby this past weekend... sorry Elise), now i know it is not much to my SoCal girls who are enoying the 65-70 degree weather the past few days (yes, i check.... its cause i am jealous!).

So just a heads up to all my friends who havent had a kid... pregnancy/lamaze/ birthing classes... as you probably already at least think, are cool, you learn a lot of information, but they can be really cheesy, i mean seriously, and so i warn you know, practice cheesy situations with your husband so that you guys dont get the "is everything ok over there" or "whats so funny" look from your teacher/classmates as the two of you seem to be the only ones that find certain times funny.

Only new new's here is that the kittens came! Well yay that they are here, not yay that the cat snuck out and got pregnant before i could take her to get spayed (since they wont spay a cat already in heat! or some will but it costs like $200!), so yes we are now the proud god-parents of 5 adorable kittens. I will post pictures as soon as i get a few more!

okay, i finally just did it

So everyone has been bugging me, they love the baby pictures, but all my girls want to know what i look like, so sky took a picture a few months ago and i decided that in like 40 years i will want to look back and remember and my kids will think its cool to see (cause i think its cool to see), what their mom looked liked. so i took some preggy pictures of myself, now that you can actually tell im pregnant!

These are from today, the kid has grown like crazy in the last six weeks! from almost no belly at 5 months, to almost no more room at just over 6 1/2 months! though without my hands around my belly, you cant tell from the back or really the front that i am pregnant.

all is well here, only 4 more weeks of school for me! (at least until i decide on a masters program!). We are moving to the boise area in april just after i graduate, skyler got a great new job at a hospital there (it is ranked in the top 5% of hospitals in the country for Hospital Quality and Clinical Excellence), so we are excited but now even busier! Love you all lots and lots.

23 weeks and counting!!!!!

So had another appointment today and thought i would just catch you all up! Everything is great, sleep is getting harder and harder, my lung capacity is only a quarter of what it used to be, the little guy is pushing my organs up and out of the way and i swear my lungs cant extend past my sternum! Belly button hasnt popped yet, but the way my peanut is growing (first time i saw a picture of him he was almost as big and about the shape of a single little peanut!), i swear i will burst almost any day... its like the very full feeling after a huge thanksgiving feast, times 5, and it never goes away. Plus, this sounds weird, but my skin around my tummy hurts, cant explain it any other way. But all of that does not matter because he is healthy and strong (feel my stomach when hes kicking and you will see just how strong), and I am just so happy and excited, and totally going into nesting mode... i already made baby bumpers for the crib and am finishing cutting out the fabric for the quilt! (not to mention i have crocheted a number of blankets... not all for me, some for taylor too.) So yup here are the latest pictures of the peanut... today was side profile day since he would not gives us it last time! In the pictures you can see his mouth opening ... he was practicing his breathing by taking in amniotic fluid all during the ultrasound... really neat to see!

plus if you look at his nose... looks a bit like mine... the way it turns up at the end... but we will have to wait and see!

Smokers

So first off, we all know smoking is dumb, its causes cancer, COPD, bad breath, bad teeth, horrible looking fingernails, makes your lips wrinkle 30 years too early, ruins your skin, you get a really raspy voice, costs lots of money and makes you stink... but i have another reason to add to the list... because smoking when its below 55 degrees outside means you have to stand outside in the cold!!! i mean the people i see standing outside behind walmart or any other business when its 15 degrees outside and gusting arctic winds at 20 plus miles per hour (like yesterday) is incredibly stupid... is it really that worth it?! Plus, to top it off case and point over the last month or so, driving in multiple snow storms or below zero weather... who has their windows rolled down? Smoker. I mean they have to drive wherever they are going on icy roads in -4 degrees, all bundled up still just because they need to have their window cracked so they can hang their cigarette out the window and so the windshield does not get all fogged up! I mean to me that just screams stupidity, the rest of the world is trying to stay warm, and they are so addicted they cant go on a twenty minute car ride without a cigarette, so they roll down their windows and let in the snow and freezing wind!!!!AHHHH, okay, i could go on and on, but i think you get my point!

Well for those of you who don't know yet.....

ITS A BOY!!!!!

We are uber excited! We thought from the beginning it was going to be a boy but now it is definitely one-hundred percent sure! So here is a little glimpse into our life, you can see his face on the right... its slightly hidden and hes laying on his side, he was not so happy to prodded by the ultrasound tech during his usual nap time, so he kept squirming away to the other side of my abdomen! But we finally got him to hold still long enough to take this picture (and a few others!), as well as moon us (he literally flipped and put his cute little bum right against the ultrasound wand (by this point i think he was pretty fed up)).

he is long so far, so we will see if he is going to as tall as his daddy! (sky was like 231/2 inches when he was born),

he also weights about 15 oz, so thankfully not a huge baby, but still in the top percentiles!

Update

Well we find out in two weeks what we are having for sure, (that is if the little peanut will cooperate with the friendly sonogram/ ultrasound lady, and let us take a peek, though i guess i wouldnt blame the baby, cause we are always taught to be modest, and so to show yourself off like that knowing your entire immediate and extended family may see you!) Other than that i am just really excited to only have 11 more weeks of schooling and i am done with my bachelors!!!!!

Hmm, not much else, i have had strep for the first time this week, which has been just oh so awesome, but now i am on meds, and just praying they dont hound me for loosing more weight when i go in for my next check up, but not much i can do when all that really fits down my throat is liquids and applesauce.
